Virtual
Private Server
Virtual Private Server (VPS) is the first solution
of its kind to combine the flexibility and safeguards
of a dedicated server environment with the economical
prices of shared-server hosting.
What
is a VPS?
A Virtual Private Server is a revolutionary hosting
environment that gives you your own Unix virtual
machine. Each VPS is a private and PROTECTED
area that operates as an independent server. The VPS
allows customers to share the expense of hardware and
network connections (and completely eliminate the
hassle of maintaining it all), without sacrificing
performance or freedom!
What
can I do with a VPS?
The Virtual Private Server behaves like a dedicated
server, so the possibilities are almost limitless. The
VPS affords administrators complete control over the
server configuration. Feel free to run custom CGIs,
add dynamic modules, install your own RealServer for
multimedia streaming, and more.
Multiple Domain
Hosting
One of the most powerful features of our
Virtual Server is the ability to support multiple
domain names on a single Virtual Server, or Virtual
Subhosting. In other words, you can host "bob.com"
and "jim.com" on the same Virtual Server,
each with its distinct domain name and unique site
content. You can also offer each Virtual Subhosted
customer their own unique FTP login with access to
their own subdirectory and e-mail addresses using
their own domain name. Virtual hosting offers you a
powerful, low-cost product that you can use to get
your "foot in the door" with prospective
clients. As their needs expand, you can seamlessly
upgrade them to a full Virtual Server.
Our world-class Dedicated Servers represent
a complete solution for a large-scale, traffic
intensive site. We combine the highest quality
hardware, innovative software, the fastest network
connections, and security solutions into one powerful
product. Each Dedicated Server is housed in a
state-of-the-art facility with power backups,
redundant connections to the Internet, and 24/7
monitoring. We are experienced at running both UNIX
and NT Dedicated Servers.
Virtual
Name Servers
As one of our Resellers, you can have your own Virtual
Name Server (e.g. ns1.your-nameserver.net and
ns2.your-nameserver.net). A Virtual Name Server is an
alias that refers to our primary and secondary Name
Servers (ns1.secure.net and ns2.secure.net). Once your
Virtual Name Server is setup, you can register domain
names with your Virtual Name Server information. When
your customers perform a domain name lookup (via whois
or other methods), they will see your Name Server
information (e.g. ns1.your-nameserver.net and
ns2.your-nameserver.net) not ours.
